ICT Consultant (2nd Line) ,Oxford , £25,000 – £28,000
Our exciting and industry leading client are a large outsourced IT provider and are seeking a 2nd Line ICT Consultant to provide on site support to schools in Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.
 
You will be responsible for maintaining all IT hardware and services across the schools’ sites as well as helping the schools improve the standard of their ICT provisions and enable them to deliver effective teaching and learning through ICT solutions.
 
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in 2nd line support in a customer facing position. You will have excellent written & verbal communication skills, giving you the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical customers effectively.
 
It is essential you have your own vehicle for this role.
 
About you:
The successful ICT Consultant will need prior experience in a customer facing IT support role. You will have exceptional relationship building and customer service skills. The following technical experience and skills are desirable:

2nd Line IT Support
Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft Operating Systems
Office 365  
Responsibilities:

Resolve technical problems as quickly as possible
Ensure that backup is working and complete a test recovery
Ensure on-going technical problems are logged and tracked in the correct system
Feedback to the school progress at the end of each visit
Ensure that all server recovery material that are required to recover server are readily available at the school and kept in a safe and secure place
Installation or repair of computers with standardised applications and networking software, diagnosing, and solving problems that develop in their operations.
Respond to a wide range of technical duties associated with the computer network and desktop services, primarily in connection with existing installations and upgrading of these installations. (Desktop computers, iPads, printers, telephones, scanners, projectors, pa equipment, AV lecterns and hardware)
