Head of Data 

£80,000 – £90,000 

Gloucestershire – 4 days a week in office 

  We are currently recruiting for Head Data to join a unique business based in the Cotswold's. This company is one of the most sustainable farm and food retailers in the UK, and is now seeking a skilled Head of Data to lead the data strategy design, implementation, and maintenance.

  Ideal candidate balances data expertise, analytic's, and business acumen to drive data-driven initiatives.

The Role: 

Design and develop a comprehensive data architecture strategy aligned with business goals.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions.

Define and enforce data modelling standards, best practices, and guidelines.

Evaluate and select appropriate technologies and tools for data management, integration, and analytic's.

Design and optimise data integration processes.

Establish and enforce data governance policies and standards.

Collaborate with business stakeholders and data analysts to understand reporting needs.

The Candidate: 

Proven experience in Data Engineering/Architecture or similar roles.

Strong knowledge of data architecture principles, data modelling techniques, and integration patterns.

Proficiency in data modelling tools and languages.

Experience with cloud-based data technologies such as Azure

Familiarity with data governance frameworks.

Strong understanding of data security and privacy principles.

Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
