We are looking for a highly adaptable and motivated individual with a passion for onsite AV support, you will have the opportunity to build on your skills working at numerous client sites across London and potentially Cambridge and Oxford on Business as Usual (BAU) support and events. Main Purpose of Position

To provide customer-facing BAU support across the Company’s client business units and outside clients in the safe and correct preparation, implementation, and operation of all aspects of all audio-visual, video conference, display, and presentation technologies. This position will provide cover, as necessary, for staff absences, periods of peak demand and to provide a service to clients requiring ad hoc and specialist support. Working hours are primarily between the core hours of 7:00 am – 7:00 pm (Mon-Fri) based on a 40-hour week (not including an hour lunch break) across shifts as required to cover the business and are subject to short notice changes. There will be instances due to the nature of client events where it is expected that you will be required to work outside of these core hours and on some weekends to accommodate start and finish times. Candidates need to be flexible within these hours and to be adaptable to change at short notice, with the ability to fit easily into existing teams, adapting and picking up local working practices as required.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

Working within the Service Delivery team to provide support on client sites for general BAU AV support and events support where required.

To operate and support presentations, conferences, collaboration, and associated control systems.

Setting up, operating, and breaking down of Audio-Visual systems as per the client’s requirements.

Running the AV aspect of presentations for high-profile meetings.

Conduct training and support all aspects of system operation to colleagues and clients as identified by management.

To oversee the booking, allocation, and support of equipment for events and provide feedback upon event conclusion.

Respond to and deal with any reported faults as required, ensuring all associated documentation and reporting are carried out on time.

To always maintain a smart appearance and react to urgent situations calmly.

To substitute for any other role within the department, when required.

To ensure all paperwork is completed on time and filled out completely, as required.

To ensure all work is performed to Company standards and that quality techniques are practiced.

Promote and adhere to the company’s policies and procedures.

Understands and recognises the importance of safe working practices in compliance with the Company’s safety policy with the safety of self and others in mind at all times.

To ensure mandatory compliance with information security policies, standards, and procedures.

What Experience, Skills, and Attributes you will need to be successful?

Ability to review, accept, and accommodate last-minute changes to rotas and shift patterns.

Strong drive to continually learn and adapt to multiple clients, their technologies, and support practices.

High-level corporate AV customer service skills both verbal and written to deal with both internal and external customers across multiple clients.

Positive attitude to all situations.

Ability to adapt to new clients and to take on board and record operational procedures.

Thorough operational knowledge of Audio-Visual Systems and their related technical fundamentals.

Experience in WEB, IP, and telephony-based conferencing systems.

Experience in providing a similar service within an on-site role.

Ability to integrate fully within multiple teams at short notice, substituting seamlessly for various roles within existing teams.

Be organised and flexible with the ability to approach diverse types of tasks during the working day.

Being able to prioritise and work under pressure is essential.

High-level communication skills both verbal and written, able to communicate at all levels within an organisation.

Be competent to an elevated level of computer literacy.

Be able to work as an integral part of a team.

Be able to work on your own initiative and accept accountability.

Be able to work to the highest quality standards with attention to detail.

Professionally represent the company on its customers’ sites.

Confident in operating sound, vision, and lighting desks and can deal with very high-level events, e.g. Town halls, external client meetings, Webcasts, Auditorium spaces, dry hire, etc.

Ability to demonstrate strong prioritising, planning, organisation, and implementation skills to ensure the smooth running of operations and the successful completion of technically demanding events and projects.

Ability to troubleshoot issues and provide remedial solutions.

Can work well under pressure and tight deadlines.

Must be punctual and reliable.

This role will involve moving and lifting equipment.

Avixa CTS and Manufacturer training would be advantageous
