ELV Department Manager

Data Centre projects
Dubai
40,000- 45,000 AED per month all inclusive

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic ELV Manager from an MEP building services background to join an award-winning international contractor, working on data centre projects throughout the UAE.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate previous experience on data centre projects & exceptional technical skills related to ELV & ICT systems across design, installation & commissioning.

The ELV Manager role
As the successful candidate for this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) systems including security systems such as CCTV, access control & intrusion detection; AV equipment like projectors and display screens; Building Management Systems (BMS); Public Address (PA)/Voice Alarm (VA) & ICT infrastructure among other things.
You'll need excellent management skills combined with technical expertise that covers designing, implementing, commissioning, testing, and monitoring of these low voltage components.

Key Responsibilities of ELV Manager:

Oversee design, installation, supervision and commissioning activities related to various types of building technology systems.
Project manage multiple installations simultaneously from conception through completion ensuring timely delivery within budgetary constraints.
Supporting the procurement and managing the execution of the ELV packages ensuring compliance with the project technical requirements and local authority requirements
Supporting the procurement and managing the execution of the ELV packages to achieve the project programme, within the target budget.
Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards in the execution of the ELV packages
Develop relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, consultants, vendors, suppliers etc
Requirements for the ELV Manager role

Minimum 5 years' experience managing and / or delivering ELV packages in a role of manager or senior engineer with management responsibilities.
Experience with a wide range of ELV systems including PLC, DDC, SCADA, BACNET, Modbus etc.
Previous experience working in the Middle East & familiar with local regulations and authority processes & requirements.
Experience in producing and managing a programme of work.
Hyperscale data centre experience
Demonstrable client facing capabilities.
Excellent technical knowledge of ELV & ICT systems for critical environments
Uptime Accredited Tier Designer is desirable.The next steps
