What if I told you that you’ll get the autonomy to build a security function and implement your own strategy and processes for a major UK retailer – sound good?

This organisation has planned and exciting overhaul to the way they secure their estate and want you to spearhead the development of processes, strategy and implementation of tooling to help secure and protect their business critical IT environment.

Your role as a DevSecOps Engineer will involve a proactive approach to security with a large landscape to make this role your own and have the backing from the team to do so. You’ll explore new tooling, implement new strategies, and test new security procedures for a flexible internally developed bespoke set of systems.

You’ll manage the Linux server environment, develop, maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines, utilise security monitoring tools, implement best practice, and overall modernise their approach to security.

Based in Piccadilly (London), the role offers a flexible approach to hybrid working with travel to the office only required 1 day per month. The initial starting period will require more office time.

Up to £65 000 depending on skillset and experience.

Ideally you will have:

Experience in DevSecOps, particularly in a LEMP stack environment with Javascript.
Good working knowledge of cloud technologies – especially Azure
Proficiency of Linux, Nginx, MySQL, PHP, Composer, and Vue.js. (PHP and Vue.js not essential).
Experience with tools such as New Relic, Cloudflare, Alert Logic, OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite, and penetration testing.
