Data Engineer – SC Cleared

6+ Month Contract | £400-£450 per day | Inside IR35
Remote | West Midlands / West Sussex | Twice a Month onsite

We're looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a major UK public sector programme, helping deliver secure, modern data platforms that support digital transformation and emerging AI capabilities.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a large-scale, high-profile programme where you'll play a key role in building reliable data solutions and enabling high-quality data products.

The Role

You'll be responsible for:

Building, enhancing and supporting robust data pipelines for ingestion, transformation and curation
Developing secure, reliable and high-performing data integration solutions
Working closely with product teams, engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality data products
Contributing to engineering standards, best practice and continuous improvement
Working within Agile, multidisciplinary teams across a large-scale public sector environment

Key Skills & Experience

We're looking for strong experience in:

SQL and data modelling
Talend and Pentaho BA
Oracle databases
AWS cloud technologies
Data integration, transformation and orchestration
Version control and modern engineering practices
Building and supporting secure, scalable data platforms

Essential

Active SC Clearance is essential.

Duration: 6+ months
Rate: £400-£450 per day
IR35: Inside IR35
Location: West Midlands or West Sussex
