Our client a leading public sector organisation in Gloucestershire is going through a period of Digital Transformation which has created a requirement for a Data Engineer to join their team. This is a newly created role working closely with Data Insights & Analytics to design develope and implement data solutions on Azure Data Factory.
This role will eventually progress into taking the lead of the Data Strategy for the organisation and overall data governance building out a team.
Lead the design, development, and implementation of data solutions on Azure Data Factory, Data Warehousing, and Databricks.
Consolidate and migrate legacy data to our new cloud-based healthcare platform.
Design and develop ETL pipelines and cloud data storage solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and non-functional needs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver prioritized platform fixes and enhancements. Key Skills:
Previous experience in data engineering, preferably with Azure.
Proficiency in building data pipelines on Azure cloud platforms.
Strong data modeling and analysis skills, with the ability to explain complex models to technical and business stakeholders.
Experience across functional areas such as Clinical, Finance, Procurement, Operations, HR, Risk, or healthcare.
Advanced SQL and Python skills.
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps, and agile delivery environments.
