Data Architect
Newcastle upon Tyne – hybrid working with 2 days office working per week
Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw)
Salary circa £65,000 negotiable based on skills and experience.

Typical day as a Data Architect:
* Collaborate with stakeholders to develop your long-term, strategic roadmap to implement our data strategy to achieve our vision.
* Lead challenging data projects with a focus on deriving value from data how it benefits our customers.
* You’ll support the team, and wider department on their endeavours with your specialist knowledge, whether that’s helping with data modelling, integration or data quality your insight will be invaluable.
* Present and adapt your roadmaps to your peers, senior leaders, or at events to share your knowledge, seek feedback, and foster collaboration.

You bring
* Proven experience in implementing a data strategy that incorporates people, process and technology.
* In-depth knowledge of data modelling principles, techniques and tools.
* Strong expertise in database and data warehousing technologies such as SQL, Oracle and Azure Synapse.
* Experience of working with internal or external customers to design robust, commercially sound technical solutions.
* An ability to rapidly upskill in new areas or technologies, adapting to emerging needs.
* Outstanding communication skills, ability to articulate complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* A knack for mentoring and leading, even without direct authority, and a drive to foster collaborative and winning team spirits.
Our team
You’ll work in a small (but perfectly formed) team of Architects and Business Analysts for Tom, our Head of Architecture. He's a family man with terrible taste in both music and film! He comes from a commercial background and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Home Group and is perfectly placed to support you when you join. Tom is responsible for leading the team, and by his side… we know you'll move mountains!
