Join the Product Cyber Security team at a leading defence company, where you will provide specialised cyber security solutions across various projects, ensuring robust cyber security for weapon systems. You will be responsible for the design, documentation, and evidence required to support security approval and assurance activities.

My clients Product Cyber Security team has a strong track record in delivering secure solution designs and system accreditation. As a team member, you will have the chance to represent the department on multiple projects, supporting current products and contributing to the development of next-generation technologies.

We are at the forefront of cyber security in the advanced weapons sector, offering numerous technical and personal responsibilities to challenge you. Additionally, the department conducts personal development and R&D activities to ensure its skills, technologies, and personnel remain at the cutting edge of Cyber Security.

Key Responsibilities:

* Identify, assess, and manage security risks to systems, ensuring appropriate security measures are implemented and validated.

* Apply your cyber security expertise within project teams, balancing complex trade-offs and requirements in cyber security design and assurance.

* Collaborate closely with the broader engineering team, providing cyber security expertise throughout the engineering lifecycle, from initial requirements to operational guidance.

* Oversee the project’s cyber security risk management process and offer guidance and support based on a risk management methodology.

* Represent Cyber Security across project engineering functions and contribute to the project’s Security Working Group.

* Develop the project security case and engage with project collaborators, focusing on achieving project milestones.

You will use your technical skills, judgment, and influence to impact the security of systems delivered to the customer and end users.

Requirements:

* Proficiency in conducting risk assessments and proposing security measures across physical, personnel, procedural, and technical domains.

* Understanding of MOD and Government information security policies, standards, and guidance, with the ability to tailor them to specific product needs.

* Demonstrated delivery-focused mindset, aware of the dynamic demands on cyber security design, implementation, and assurance.

* Knowledge of systems engineering, electronics, software technology, and development principles.

* Prior experience in delivering security case documents for military equipment or similar projects.

* Proven ability to engage with partners, engineering teams, and subcontractors, providing direction, mentorship, and support for balanced information security solutions
