Role: Commercial Analyst
Reporting to: Head of Insights and Analytics
Salary: Up to £40k depending on experience
Location: Hampstead/ Home/ Hybrid (minimum 3 office days per week)
Days/ Hours of Work: Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm

About the role:
The Commercial Analyst will play a pivotal role in centralising and automating our reporting processes in order to improve and streamline reporting for our clients. The Commercial Analyst will also analyse data sets, to uncover trends, patterns and insights to be provided to our clients and internal stakeholders. The successful candidate will have a strong Commercial background, advanced Excel skills, a proven track record of automating reporting processes and great communication skills.

About you:
To be a successful Commercial Analyst, you will have excellent reporting and data analysis skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and across teams. You will also have experience centralising and automating reports for a business to provide business and performance insights, utilising a range of technologies including Excel and Google Looker. Attention to detail is key to this role and you should be able to work collaboratively with internal departments to provide our clients with best-in-industry service levels.

Role requirements:

* Consolidate all client-facing reporting processes, ensuring consistency and efficiency.

* Develop and implement automated reporting solutions using Excel macros, and other relevant tools to streamline processes and minimise manual effort.

* Improve the accuracy, reliability and relevance of client reports through rigorous data analysis and validation.

* Analyse data to uncover trends, patterns and opportunities, translating findings into actionable insights for internal stakeholders and clients.

* Collaborate with the Account Management team to provide data-driven support for strategic decision-making and operational optimisations.

* Act as a primary point of contact for client reporting requirements, ensuring timely delivery and addressing any queries or feedback effectively.

Person requirements:

* Strong commercial acumen with a solid understanding of business metrics and KPIs

* Advanced Excel, including Macros, VBA, pivot tables and data visualisation techniques

* Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, with preference for familiarity with Google Looker or similar platforms

* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear and actionable recommendations.

* Proven track record of automating reporting processes and driving efficiency improvements.

* Analytical mindset and keen attention to detail and a passion for problem-solving.

* Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
