Business Analyst

Flexible remote/hybrid

We are seeking a professional individual with strong interpersonal, project management, and anylitical skillset to join our clients team based in Bracknell. This role involves coordinating the maintenance and development of various application and infrastructure projects for the group and unifying the softwares used throughout the business.

You will collaborate with IT vendors, internal teams, and external experts to gather and document requirements, oversee design, testing, and implementation efforts, and ensure timely resolution of system issues. Additionally, you will assist in creating and designing reports as needed by the business and senior management.

In this role you will report to the Head of IT, you'll work closely with a wider team to ensure governance and control standards are met across shared services. Success in this role will be measured by your ability to cultivate productive relationships across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with management to understand business goals and processes.
Gain deep knowledge of corporate functions and IT environment.
Identify areas for system improvements and implement modifications.
Develop and maintain system protocols and procedures.
Assist in selecting external resources or tools when necessary.
Define project objectives, create project plans, and monitor progress.
Gather and analyze business requirements using various techniques.
Communicate effectively with stakeholders to deliver necessary artifacts.
Manage project intake and update project status using JIRA.
Collaborate with developers and SMEs to establish technical vision.
Oversee system testing and document processes and workflows.
Perform smoke testing after Change Management.
Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in business analysis and project management.
Strong analytical and project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in groups.
Desirable experience with various project methodologies (Agile, waterfall etc), project tracking software, managing vendor teams, relational databases, educational institutions, software scripting protocols, and application languages.
Confident creating user stories on Jira
