A little bit about the role…
The Digital Team provides high-quality, strategically important digital solutions to all business units in M Group Services’ Rail & Aviation Division, leveraging efficiency and expertise from a centrally managed approach.
The Business Analyst will support our improvement agenda across the division to deliver safe and profitable company performance through continuous improvement and exceptional levels of customer service. You will work closely with colleagues in the Digital Team, operations and commercial functions to support existing work and deliver initiatives based upon data, processes and systems.
A key strategic objective for 2024 is to implement a workflow management solution, initially for our CP7 Contracts for Network Rail, but also creating the foundation of our strategic work management solution across the wider division. Our Business Analysts will play a vital role in the design, development and delivery of the solution.
 
As a Business Analyst, you will:

Work closely with our operational, commercial and customer-focused colleagues to design and specify the user requirements to plan, manage, schedule and execute the work undertaken for the client. Conduct process mapping exercises and workshops to document the as-is state and desired future state processes.
Analyse process flows, data requirements, rules and constraints.
Gather detailed functional and non-functional requirements through stakeholder workshops.
Create clear requirements specifications, process models and other documentation.
Organise and support user testing and ensuring the delivered solution meets business needs.
Liaise with the project team, including project management, system developers and testers to successfully deliver the project on time and within budget.
Co-ordinate system design and developments with associated workstreams to achieve a scalable, easy-to-use system capable of managing multiple work types.
Provide regular updates to the project team to keep them apprised of progress and highlight any potential issues early.
Support trainers with the roll-out and provide end-user support of the systems.
Design practical and cost-effective solutions to address business challenges.
Develop close working relationships with local stakeholders to make it easy for them to work successfully with the Digital team.
Be a visible and easily accessible point of contact to promote and evangelise process and system solutions and share them across the business.
Provide business support to assist in commercial and operational decision-making.
Support the consistent use and drive the standardisation of systems and processes wherever relevant to maximise the benefits from economies of scale.
Oversee and project manage progress, testing, training, change control and the release of system developments.
Ensure that the quality of process and systems solutions is maintained at the highest level.
Work closely with local operational and commercial teams to establish and maintain the optimum software licencing models.
Ensure compliance with Information Security policies by managing access to data via users’ system access profiles. 
A little bit about you…

Excellent relationship-building skills; able to build confidence and respect with a wide range of stakeholders.
Project management experience and process improvement experience, with demonstrable delivery successes.
Ability to support and manage multiple initiatives and tasks with different deadlines.
Proven ability to gather user requirements from various stakeholders and convert them into system requirements.
Highly numerate and literate, with excellent written and oral communication skills.
A self-motivated and highly professional team player with a flexible, yet structured approach, also able to work on own initiative.
A pro-active self-starter with a logical approach to problem-solving.
A clear and concise communicator, who is able to take responsibility for their own work.
Good awareness of current technologies and IT methodologies.
Experience in process improvement work.
Good skills in MS Office applications, including MS Project and Visio.
Ability to produce of high-quality documentation, which is precise and concise in content.
A personable and proactive communicator able to promote solutions across the business.
Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform or SharePoint would be desirable.
Degree level qualification desirable.
Full UK driving licence.
