AWS Solutions Architect
Location: London or within commuting distance (around 1 hour)
Salary: £120,000 – £150,000 base + bonus
A leading global technology consultancy is looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to play a senior role in shaping cloud strategy and delivery across large-scale transformation programmes.
This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who thrives at the intersection of technology, architecture, and leadership. You’ll be responsible for designing AWS cloud solutions, leading DevOps initiatives, and guiding enterprise migrations – while collaborating with senior stakeholders across both technical and commercial teams.

What you’ll do
* Lead the design and delivery of AWS-based cloud architectures across migration, DevOps, and application modernisation projects.
* Drive the development of internal AWS capabilities, ensuring best practices and high standards of technical delivery.
* Oversee cloud design efforts based on industry frameworks and best-in-class architecture patterns.
* Play a key role in technical pre-sales and solution definition for new cloud opportunities.
* Guide and mentor Cloud Engineering teams through AWS transformation projects.
* Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and client teams, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout delivery.
* Influence senior decision-makers, using your technical credibility to shape strategy and deliver measurable business outcomes.
What you’ll bring
* 15+ years in technology, with at least 7 years focused on AWS cloud architecture.
* Proven expertise in cloud migration, DevOps, and modern application design.
* Strong technical foundation in automation, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, Terraform).
* Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills – comfortable operating at senior level.
* Experience leading technical teams and driving AWS cloud transformations at scale.
* Ideally from a product-based or enterprise background, bringing a deep sense of ownership and delivery accountability.
* Strategic, commercially aware, and confident advising clients on both technical and business outcomes.
Nice to have
* AWS certifications (Solutions Architect – Professional, DevOps Engineer).
* Experience working with large enterprise environments or complex multi-cloud ecosystems.
Package
* £120,000 – £150,000 base salary + annual bonus.
* Hybrid working model – remote with travel for client meetings across the UK (primarily London).
