Job Opportunity: Mobile App Developer (iOS & Android)

Location: Newcastle / Fully Remote (UK Based)

Salary: £38,000 – £46,000 per annum + Benefits

Working with some of the world’s largest insurance brands, this company is scaling rapidly and looking for a talented Mobile App Developer to join their innovative engineering team.

The Role As a Mobile App Developer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining the core applications that interface with smart IoT devices. You will be responsible for ensuring a seamless user experience for thousands of customers, focusing on high-quality code, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, and maintain native or cross-platform mobile applications for both iOS and Android.

Collaborate with the hardware and backend teams to integrate IoT devices via Bluetooth and Cloud APIs.

Optimise application performance for a smooth, responsive user interface.

*

Participate in the full software development life cycle, from initial concept to deployment on the App Store and Google Play.

Identify and squash bugs, and continuously improve the codebase.

Requirements

*

Proven experience in mobile application development (iOS and Android).

*

Proficiency in modern mobile frameworks and languages (e.g., Swift/Objective-C, Kotlin/Java, or cross-platform tools like React Native or Flutter).

Experience interfacing with external APIs and RESTful services.

*

Familiarity with Bluetooth (BLE) connectivity or IoT integration is a significant advantage.

*

A strong eye for UI/UX and a passion for creating clean, maintainable code.

*

Based in or near Newcastle (though the role is fully remote, periodic local meetups may occur).
