3rd Line Support Engineer
Job Description
Xact Placements have partnered with a successful Service Provider based in London (Nr. Liverpool Street) who are looking for a 3rd Line Support Engineer.
Main Duties of the Role
* Providing support to clients on hosted and on premise IT systems
* Troubleshooting, finding faults, resolving issues and monitoring alerts
* Managing tickets in line with SLA’s
* Carrying out maintenance on desktops, servers & network devices
* Updating documentation when required
* Visiting customer side to provide onsite support
Your Skills and Experience
* Experience within a similar position, ideally within a MSP
* Vast troubleshooting experience and solving IT incidents
* Excellent networking knowledge
* Solid experience in: Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V and Office 365
* PowerShell scripting skills
* Good understanding of backups (such as Veeam)
* Competent in Windows and Linux environments
* Fortinet experience is desirable
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Good understanding of ITIL
Salary
* £45,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience
