Based from Southampton
£26-32k per annum / OTE £50k per annum
Generous commission scheme on successfully passing a 3-month probation period
Driving Licence essential as national travel is required

Baobab Sales Recruitment is representing my client, an exciting tech company in Southampton is looking for a Business Development Manager to sell their exciting packages and services to a multitude of companies in the UK. This role will include national travel but you will be based within their Southampton offices.

You will be joining their small team of dynamic and highly motivated sales professionals, becoming one of three Business Development Managers as we target ambitious growth targets for 2018. The role covers new business lead generation and solution sales, with a responsibility to collaborate with specialists across the business to deliver commercial targets across all UK Sectors.

The ideal candidate will:
Be commercially astute and have proven lead generation skills and a love of closing high value sales!
Be self-motivated, passionate and eager to shape the future of the team and company
be an organised and proven networker, focused on long-term relationship building
be technology and social media savvy with an established online presence and know how to use LinkedIn and social media for lead generation
have the gravitas to engage with senior business figures (both internally and externally)
have an ability and willingness to collaborate with account directors, board directors, the marketing team, and fellow sales team members

Key Responsibilities:
Actively prospect and leverage potential new business opportunities from new accounts
Manage pipeline and longer-term prospects & continually identifying new prospects and entering on CRM database ensuring correct organisations and decision makers are being targeted
Monitor status of leads, qualifying and prioritising opportunities to ensure a strong pipeline of opportunities is maintained
Establish and execute a sales plan for each target account
Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers in prospect businesses
Create appointments with prospects to propose and present new or value-add solutions
Maintain in-depth knowledge of all solutions to identify appropriate solutions based on client need, and to execute our ‘land and expand’ strategy for 2018
