Business Analyst/Project Manager
The Client currently funds 65 training networks, supporting over 14,000 companies and 50,000 trainees across the country.

At this time, they are seeking assistance in the management and development of its IT function, with significant opportunities for the development and improvement of IT Services and products.

This is a real opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed BA/PM to deliver change and make a difference in a highly visible and progressive environment.

Working with internal and external teams with diverse skills, a structured approach, project management skills and ability to use and deploy widely recognised improvement methodologies is a key consideration.

Organisation Size
The company has approx 20 IT users and there are 67 networks with approximately 2 users per network.

Current IT Organisation
Two fulltime IT persons providing support for different aspects of IT and business applications

There is a requirement for a Business Analyst/PM to support the IT team due to planned and unplanned absences in the current IT team.

IT Context
IT at Company is mostly outsourced with the following set up:

– ICT infrastructure: outsourced MS platforms

– Business applications:

o A .net business application, that supports the business and training networks located around Ireland. This application is developed and maintained and hosted externally

o A low-code digitisation platform for the rapid development and rollout of digitisation initiatives e.g. Digitised Trainee Profile Form

o Sage for Finance and accounting

– A Data warehouse for reporting of activities

– MS suite for personal productivity

Within 2-3 weeks, fulltime for up to 18 months

Role PROFILE BUSINESS Analyst (BA)
Leading the IT team, the Business Analyst will be responsible for optimising IT business processes, systems and practices. This role will be the central day-to-day resource on the client premises leading and managing IT, IT projects, and responsible for the execution of the IT projects, products and services

An outsourced company currently provides strategic IT advice to the COO and this role will continue, providing advice and guidance to COO, and project and operational guidance to the BA.

Particular focus will be placed on lean thinking, process standardization, and project delivery to enable optimised business processes, balancing process, control, systems, and data.

In this role, the individual will be responsible establishing or extending relationships with existing and new outsource providers, internal management and the business

The BA will be responsible for the delivery of the following IT Activities planned for the next 12 months (this list is not exhaustive):

Projects
· Manage Rollout/Implementation of the initial Low Code Application – the Digitised Trainee Profile Form. This project is about to move into implementation phase

· Manage development strategy and agenda

– Prioritisation and development pipeline

– Testing and release management

– support for training Networks and Company staff

· Develop the IT Services catalogue for the management of IT Services and products

· Working with the COO and the IT Advisor, plan and implement the further development of the Low Code platform, the Data Warehouse and other IT initiatives.

IT Operations
· Lead and deliver a process improvement programme within IT. Provide maternity cover support for system

· Support the incoming Operations Manager with the sourcing activity associated with the IT Infrastructure

Further develop the compliance policy, standards and processes for IT at the company aligned with existing and new legislation.

· Serve as a supporting member for the design, development and implementation of ICT products and services

The Business Analyst will be expected to accomplish these results by:

Working within a team with diverse skills, a structured approach, project management skills and ability to use and deploy widely recognised improvement methodologies is a key consideration.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
BA must have 7+ years of experience in IT systems/IT management, knowledgeable in delivering change and improvement projects
Ability to solve complex enterprise-wide business problems to determine solutions that will yield expected business results through integrated high performing business processes
Ability to design innovative processes
Effective communication skills (both oral and written)
Detail-driven process and project orientation.
Strong analytical skills. Must be able to drive decisions utilizing data
Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams
Passion for continuous improvement
European Work Permit

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
BS / BA degree. MSc preferred
· The Business Analyst will hold a qualification or qualifications – or equivalent experience, in Business Analysis and/or ITIL

· Prove experience in implementing good practice in IT.

Project Management practitioner
· An excellent working knowledge of MS Office tools is a pre-requisite
