WordPress Developer – Remote Working, Bath

Salary: £32k – £42k based on experience

The Client:

Our client is a full-service studio, delivering websites, brands, publications, infographics, moving images, strategies and campaigns. They work in a joined-up way, forging lasting client.

The Role:

The client is looking for an experienced mid weight Front-Wnd Web Developer with decent knowledge of PHP to be able to set up WordPress back-ends (also known as Full Stack). You can put skills to good use – helping progressive organisations to communicate their knowledge and ideas online.

Please note this is not a JavaScript developer role – the focus of the role is not frameworks such as React/Vue/etc.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Experience writing semantic, accessible HTML to adhere to WCAG AA standards
CSS (SCSS)
JavaScript
Comfortable with CSS features like flexbox, grid, and variables
Git / version control
General PHP knowledge
General WordPress knowledge

Desired Skills:

Experience writing WordPress themes
ACF / Advanced Custom Fields experience
SCSS following BEM principles and structured following ITCSS architecture
Modern ES6 syntax JavaScript
Comfortable using the command line
Drupal 8+ experience is a bonus

Location:

The role may be based in either of their two UK studios – in Whitechapel, London or in Bath, Somerset – depending on the successful applicant’s preference.
Option of studio, hybrid or remote working

Hours:

37.5 hours split equally over five days
