Ticketing System Executive

* Salary: circa £24,000 pa

* 36 hours per week, which may include weekend and bank holiday working

As part of the Commerce and Visitor Experience team, the role of Ticketing System Executive will work across departments to implement ticketing for RMG’s activities; including admission to our paid sites, membership, public programming and events. This role will take a lead in managing day-to-day operational issues and communication and will support the Ticketing System Manager with forward planning and project delivery to ensure that the ticketing system is continually reviewed and its functionality optimised. This role will also provide data and regular (inc ad hoc) reporting to inform decision making and evaluation. As the ticketing system champion, this role will have responsibility for training and supporting users across the organisation.

Reports to: Ticketing System Manager

Key responsibilities:

* To set-up tickets for RMG’s sites, Learning programmes, Exhibitions, Events, Planetarium shows and Memberships across all sales channels.

* To be the main point of contact for system users; to troubleshoot, log faults and resolve issues, reporting them to the system provider and RMG’s IT department; co-ordinating and communicating follow up as needed.

* To work with the Ticketing System Manager to develop new products and services and to implement enhancements to support users, members and visitors.

* Collaborate across departments to ensure that the system functionality is being used to its full potential and to support users, members and visitors.

* To organise and provide training on the system to new users and refresher training

* To support the Ticketing System Manager and users in ensuring the system meets operational demands, through the streamlining of procedures and processes.

* To produce reporting and data as needed to support teams across the organisation.

* To lead and organise the ticketing system user-group to communicate new projects, build relationships across the wider team, share knowledge and training and troubleshoot issues.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

* Experience of working with a ticketing system.

* Experience of using data to provide reporting and insights.

* Advanced and confident user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Experience of working across teams and with internal stakeholders.

* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise a varied and conflicting workload with competing demands.

* Able to work both independently and as a part of a team.

Terms and Conditions

You will work 36 hours per week, which may include weekend and bank holiday working as required to support the needs of the business. Flexibility and occasional overtime will be required.
