Technical Support Engineer (Citrix)

Overview:
A leading FTSE250 financial organisation are currently hiring a Technical Support Engineer who has strong capabilities in Citrix XenDesktop, XenMobile or NetScaler to join a large Infrastructure team. Our client is currently heavily investing in their infrastructure as they move a number of their finance legacy applications into the cloud. The selected candidate will sit within the infrastructure operations department and be responsible for overseeing the Citrix environment ensuring the highest level of stability across the Banks infrastructure.

This is a unique opportunity to join a Fin-Tech who are currently revolutionising the UK finance market and merging with a number of recognised institutions. The chosen candidate will lead several integration projects within a varied technical environment utilising Citrix, VMware, PowerShell and Azure/AWS.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• The Technical Support Engineer (Citrix) will act as an escalation point of support for all incidents, requests, problems and changes associated to their area of infrastructure whilst also providing guidance, mentoring and cover to analysts and infrastructure managers respectively:
• Maintain 99.9 % availability of the Citrix environment ensuring that the highest level of stability and reliability are maintained. Manage and monitoring Citrix Farm utilization and capacity
• Administration of Citrix farm and published applications/desktops in an efficient and timely manner.
• High level (3rd line support) of knowledge in all aspects of Citrix, including layering, PVS provisioning, XenApp/XenDesktop, Netscaler.
• Ensure that all security management procedures are adhered to

Technical skill set:
• Experience in Citrix XenDesktop 7.1x, PVS, XenMobile, and NetScaler.
• Troubleshooting and maintaining NetScaler and Access Gateways.
• Proven ability in troubleshooting of XenApp and XenDesktop environment.
• Able to performing Citrix upgrades and farm migrations from planning through to implementation.
• Application Layering, Cloud Connectors, WEM and Sharefile
• Working knowledge of VMWare concepts and VM deployments.
• Working knowledge of Office 365, Azure ad AWS.
• ITIL V3
• Citrix Certification

Salary and Package:
•£35,000 – £47,000
• 25 days holiday
