Technical Specialist 

Our client in the Isle of Man seeks a Technical Specialist with strong networking experience.

About the Role:

As a Technical Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our Managed Services Cloud team, operating under the guidance of the Head of Cloud & Networks. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver efficient, timely, high-quality services and support to our esteemed customers, cloud services, and internal management systems. You'll ensure that agreed customer expectations are met and contribute to the operation and assurance of all Cloud & Network products and services, aligning with agreed KPIs & SLAs. Collaboration with other Customer Technology Services teams is key, as you will support the delivery, operation, and support of Customer Solutions & Services related to Cloud & Network products and services. Moreover, you'll work closely with the Head of the department to identify individual development opportunities, providing mentoring and coaching as necessary, fostering a highly efficient, engaged, and motivated team.

Experience:

5+ years of overall experience in the technology industry, preferably in a senior engineering position.

Experience in a Managed Services Provider environment is highly desirable.

Proven experience in customer-facing roles, demonstrating sound business judgment and a commitment to improving customer satisfaction.

Technical Knowledge & Skills:

Service Management: Knowledge of service management concepts is essential.

Architectural Framework: Familiarity with architectural framework concepts and implementation.

Public Cloud Platforms: Experience working with Public Cloud platforms and infrastructure.

Networking Concepts: Understanding of L2/L3 networking concepts, routing protocols, and implementation.

Firewall Configuration: Knowledge of Firewall configuration is necessary.

Operating Systems: Advanced knowledge of Microsoft & Linux server & desktop operating systems.

Scripting & Automation: Familiarity with scripting and automation tools.

Education Qualifications:

Preferred Qualifications: HNC/D or Degree in Electronic/Computer Science or related technical discipline.

Vendor Certification: Possessing vendor certifications reflective of experience and seniority in role specialization is advantageous.
