Job Description

As a Mid-Level PHP Developer, what should you be looking for in a new job?

Here’s what I suggest:

1) A company that makes use of the latest technology and likes to stay ahead of the curve in this regard

2) A manager that gives you the freedom to carve your own path

3) A company with low staff turnover

4) A company that sees the value in ongoing training

I’m working with a Leeds-based company that offers all of the above.

If you can get to Leeds city centre once a week and you’re open to something new, stick with me…

The company is an eCommerce powerhouse that specialises in complex eCommerce development, integrations and strategy.

They have around 50 employees, with 20 of these making up their Agile tech team – highlighting that tech truly is at the core of their operation.

Want to be 100% backend – no problem?

Want to be Fullstack – that’s OK too

Here, they’re all about being flexible and giving people choice.

To apply, you’ll need to have around:

– 5 years PHP experience

– 3 years Symfony experience

– API knowledge

Beyond this, you'll have the option of working with React, Next, AWS, unit testing and more.

The company has been around since 2004 and staff turnover has always remained low.

It’s no surprise that staff feel valued here – the company has won countless awards and they’re essentially a household name within the eCommerce world.

It also helps that they’re committed to ensuring employees never stop learning.

You’ll get plenty of training throughout your time here.

One example of this is a free subscription to SymfonyCasts.
