Support Developer (C# + SQL)

Location: Nottingham City Centre

Salary: Up to £50K

These cross-functional teams enable a lot of flexibility, in terms of the services, products and features that can be delivered, and how they’re delivered, always keeping in mind scalability.

The company have about 15 brands under their umbrella all with unique customers, providing PaaS that offers bespoke functionality where it’s needed across all kinds of industries.

Health, utilities, logistics, retail, you name it.

This role will work to support the wider team, so while you might not be building the new features and functions, you’ll be working with them after implementation and go-live to fix bugs that come up and recommend improvements.

You’ll be essential to continued success and progress of the platform you’ll work on, and proactively work to make yours, and your teammates lives easier.

Stuff you’ll be doing will include, but not be limited to…

Troubleshooting systems, software and networks. Configuring, performance tuning and monitoring of maintenance and operating systems and testing disaster recovery – because things don’t always go to plan with heavily integrated vendors and suppliers.

You’ll also be fixing [major] bugs and solving problems, automating out human-error, provisioning and configuring resources, security and adapting solutions to make them more efficient.

They’re a .Net house that host their platform on Azure. So C# and SQL exp. are the main skills needed, but if you’ve scripted and coded using things like Ruby or Python, Powershell or Bash, they may be able to work with that.

No, okay. Well you’ll also be taught and encouraged to teach. You’ll get to learn as many of the technologies they use as you can and will facilitate bringing others up to speed on your specialisms as they grow.
