We are recruiting for a Software Helpdesk or IT Technical Support Consultant for a Software and Tech company based in Brighton.
This is a customer focused 1st line IT technical helpdesk role supporting a bespoke SQL application where you will be working Monday to Friday 8:45am to 5pm and one Saturday a month (on call only).
As a Technical Support Consultant you will:
* provide 1st line support call handling and administration
* provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support relating to the company’s bespoke application
* provide reactive and proactive consultancy and technical support services to internal and external customers
* liaise with Helpdesk, Project Management, Developers and Head of Service to progress all issues to final resolution
* Carry out application installations and ensure all application setups meet customer requirements
* provide support for data manipulation, quality assurance testing, system installation / upgrades and technical reporting
* help to deliver demonstrations, training and consultancy to existing customers
This is a full time permanent role primarily home based but with an expectation to attend the Head Office in Brighton for team meetings and events.
The salary is up to £25K dependent on experience and you will need strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, SQL server scripting, Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS) and software application troubleshooting, ideally all gained from working in a Technical Support role or similar.
