Commercial Product Manager – Software
Location; 50% remote, 50% working from office in the West Midlands
This is not your usual company.
Yes, they are one of the many SaaS companies doing something new and innovative, and they are 'ambitious' (i.e. small with plans to grow quickly), but what they do is likely something you've never heard of before, in an industry that eats complacency for breakfast!
For the very first time they are looking for a Product Manager to establish a Product Management function from scratch as they aim to become more in tune with the needs of their changing market and take advantage of the huge number of opportunities they know are out there.
They've grown so far by being bold and offering something truly unique, and they don't want to let up. You will be empowered to work at the highest levels within the company and to challenge their current product development approach where necessary. They want someone with ideas and opinions, but ones that are underpinned by sound reasoning and evidence and not just gut feel.
This is a role for someone who loves being a change-maker and taking stakeholders, internal product development teams and customers on a journey to amazing product outcomes. This is not for someone who only does their best work working in an already established product management function or team.
That's them, now onto you…
They unashamedly want the full package. Someone data-led, engaging, opinionated (but humble), commercially savvy and ideally someone with a track record of doing this kind of thing with a small, growing company or department before.
You're amazing at turning customer feedback, research and data into actionable insight for product development teams. You have worked or are working at a software company, or part of a product development team launching new and innovative digital products that win market share through a customer-first ethos. You'll have a commercial focus, devising successful GTM strategies and working with sales leadership to drive uptake and ultimately increase revenue.
Representing the Voice of the Customer internally is what you do best!
You'll be in your element working with product development, marketing, sales and senior leadership teams to devise, implement and commercialise products. You'll love the idea of working for a thoroughly modern company without many of the usual small-company quirks that hold ambitious start-ups back. You'll also love working as part of a carefully selected and high-performing leadership and delivery team who are absolutely committed to making this thing work and building on the rapid growth they have already experienced.
You'll demand quality in everything you do, and you expect the same from everyone around you. It’s a shared goal, and should be treated as such- everyone playing their part in taking the company to the next level.
Maybe you've already worked at a small company who have grown and matured their products, processes and and approach to product development and delivery while you've been there, or perhaps you've worked at a larger business who have launched a new product, service or division and have needed you're customer and data-led Product Management expertise to guide them through.
You’ll be given full autonomy to work your magic here; delivering the long-term strategy, owning the roadmap, and the short-term release plan. Whatever you need to ensure the goals you set out are reached will be provided to you, including a team of great people that care just as much as you do.
If you’ve done as much as you can where you are, or are fed up of being the only one with this vision (or whatever other reason you have for looking at this ad!), then let’s talk! Either look us up on google for a phone number or apply for a guaranteed response.
The salary on offer is £50k – £65k + realistic bonus + share scheme + pension
