Role: Software Engineer (Backend C# and Python)
Location: Oslo, Norway and some onsite work
Salary: Between 600,(Apply online only),000 Norweigan Krone
My client based in Norway are looking to hire a software backend engineer skilled in C# and Python and you will be expected to work onsite in Oslo.
They are involved in the maritime industry and are a start-up teams of 26 that focus on sustainability, our vision of a greener, smarter future is what motivates us, and we need people with diverse experiences and backgrounds to make us even better at what we do.

The Role and skills required:
Working as a backend engineer, ideally someone with 2-5 years' experience. They mainly use C# on the backend, but they are happy to take someone with strong C# or Python experience.
If they have worked in a start-up environment this is ideal, they can't sponsor so need someone to have full right to work in Oslo.
We believe that small and autonomous product teams move quickly and energises and motivates the right people. Together, you will cover backend development, frontend development and UI/UX design, but exactly how you split the responsibilities is up to you. You will have great impact on what we develop and how we do it while working closely together with our experienced Solutions Architect and relevant business units. You may have a formal education, but it could also be that you have learnt your own way.
More important than knowing a certain programming language is the ability to do stellar object-oriented application design which supports serious scaling, continuous development of microservices and intuitive user experiences. If we are forced to name-drop some additional desired knowledges, it would be GoF design patterns, C#, any flavour of SQL, object-oriented analysis, network programming, Angular, EF, and REST API design. But again, these are desired knowledges and considered a plus.
Ideal candidates for this role are energetic, curious, self-motivated, and team oriented. You are accustomed to work in a truly agile manner, and you do everything you can to avoid technical debt.
