Software Development Engineer

Looking for an exciting role in software development? This is just the position for you! As a Software Development Engineer, you'll be tackling challenging scenarios within a modern financial trading environment, working alongside sharp individuals to ensure Company success. In summary, your role will involve working with Go, Python scripting and cloud-based environments like AWS to optimize platform performance. You'll also be responsible for developing new features, communicating with end-users, and monitoring for failures.

We're looking for someone a cut above the rest with excellent programming skills, good communication, and problem-solving abilities. Experience with Agile methods and an interest in financial markets, digital assets and cryptocurrency is a plus. Join this team and lead the further development of a state-of-the-art trading platform!

This is an exciting role working within a fast-moving, dynamic environment.

You will be tackling and resolving challenging scenarios arising in a modern financial trading environment. You will be working closely alongside sharp individuals who are also very good at what they do, as you will be expected to be too.

The success of what you will be doing will heavily influence profitability and Company success!

As such, you need to be a total whizz on Go, Python scripting and how this works within a cloud-based environment, predominantly AWS.

Your task should you choose to accept it:

Working closely within a team leading the further development of a state of the art trading platform
Understanding the needs and wants of traders from the platform and helping to introduce new tools to improve performance success and results.
Creating and developing new ideas and features
Looking after and tweaking existing features and codebase for better performance
Optimising platform performance that can grow anbd develop over time
Code production and documentation
Careful monitoring to guard against failures
Communicating with end users at all levelsWhat we are looking for in you:

Python and design patterns.
Excellent skills and experience in programming with any object-oriented language or low-level language (C++, Java, Golang)
Good communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate well with sharp bright individuals
Experience in Linux and Shell environments
Multi-tasker
Positive, collaborative and keen
Possible experience of Agile methods such as Scrum and Kanban
Ideally an understanding of data structures and SQL-based data
Docker, Kubernetes and Helm
REST and Websockets
Interest in financial markets, digital assets and cryptocurrency.
