Job Description

A consultative Account Manager with great 'people skills' is wanted for one of the nicest Sage resellers in the UK, and one of our busiest clients. Must have a solid background in solutions sales and account management working with accounting or ERP software clients. Fully home based anywhere in the UK, looking after Sage 200 customers. Up to £45k + £5k car allowance, up to £20K in commission, plus incentive bonuses.

Home based in the East Midlands with travel to clients and 1 day every 2 weeks in the office in the East Midlands

If you have account managed Sage products – Sage 200, Sage X3, Sage 500, Sage Construct, or Sage Intacct, it would be a bonus, otherwise any other similar ERP solution or accounting software sales and account management is absolutely fine – you can learn the product.

You must have worked as an account manager on application software selling software licenses and services.

You'll be part of a busy, vibrant team in the sales, marketing, and account management division, but the job is fully home-based UK wide. You understand the clients' business drivers, you can create need when you speak to them, you're a great negotiator and brilliant at manging the client relationship. You are someone who "believes people do business with people" and you nurture and build loyalty.

Your primary role will be to look after the relationships with existing clients, building on their loyalty, and renewing their software support contracts, plus upselling a portfolio of add-on products and modules, licenses, software upgrades, training & consultancy, and business services. You will stay in regular contact with them to deal with their issues and discuss their requirements.

You need to be able to maintain and build these relationships, inspiring trust and confidence and ensuring that clients are happy and satisfied with their service offering and ensuring that you spot and then optimise opportunities to sell and promote additional products and services.

You can manage accounts to maximise profits, keep customers informed of company and product news through meetings and seminars, produce quotes and proposals, and maintain spot-on CRM records. You are well presented, and very personable, able to converse with people in an engaging manner, deliver quality presentations and build long term relationships and client loyalty. You come up with new ways to increase user adoption and new sales and enjoy sharing your knowledge and ideas within a team.
