Service Desk Technician

Our client is a fast-growing and dynamic business within the financial services industry who can offer flexible working, generous holiday allowance and travel discounts as well as a hybrid working environment.

Please note this role is Monday-Friday and candidates need to be flexible between the hours of 7.30am-8pm.

They are currently looking to recruit a Service Desk Technician to join their team to support their staff in a Microsoft environment. The Service Desk Technician will be using a ticket management system to pro-actively maintain the desktop, telephony and application infrastructure so that it is supported, and failures are minimized. The Service Desk Technician will need to have previously supported at 2nd Line level and have experience in a MS environment.

Key Experience and Responsibilities of the Service Desk Technician

Pro-actively maintain the desktop, telephony, and application infrastructure so that it is supported, and failures are minimized.
Log, analyze, triage and prioritize all IT Incidents, Problems and Changes received via all communication channels into the team.
Ensure that systems/ applications / services in own area run and meet business Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
Strong IT troubleshooting experience, with previous experience gained working on a service desk to include Software experience.
Will have used ticket management systems.
Proactive resolutions and expectation management experience is needed.
Active Directory, Office 365, Azure, SharePoint are a must.
SCCM / Intune understanding is desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills, a good personality, be approachable, friendly and manage internal stakeholders needs.
