Service Designer – Government – Remote
Service Designer required on a permanent basis for a an exciting business in the cloud sector, working with large government customers, enabling transformation using public cloud, data, and AI services. As a Service Designer, you can expect to receive the following remuneration package:

Basic salary of up to £43,000
Annual Bonus of up to 15%
25 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays

Pension SchemeAs a Service Designer, your day-to-day responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:

Undertaking full business analysis activities for designated projects / customers, working collaboratively with project managers, customer stakeholders’ representatives, end-users and technical teams.
Aligned to GDS framework best practice, you will establish and follow agreed analysis processes, methodology and standards ensuring the delivery of an efficient and effective business analysis function for our customers.
Evaluate existing services in terms of usefulness, usability, content and accessibility.
Work with clients to understand their needs, communicate how our team can help them and design a solution to realise their ambition.
Understand and have experience in user research methods. You know when to use those methods and how to apply them correctly.
Plan and conduct behavioural in-context user testing and document the findings.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to the client and internal team and turn insights into opportunities for cost reduction, revenue generation or other business value.
You can apply technical knowledge and experience to build prototypes – you understand parameters, technical restrictions.
Facilitate workshops with stakeholders, users and technical team to drive consensus around the service vision.
Give support and leadership to the delivery team to take a holistic service design approach.
Working across a number of projects you will establish and maintain strong working relationships with a range of stakeholders – senior managers, service managers, academic and administrative staff to understand the business needs of the organisation.
Supporting the end-to-end project delivery you will take responsibility for the quality of data and processes throughout the design and implementation stages. You will design and implement suitable service models and facilitate the handover to BAU operations.To be considered for the Service Designer vacancy, you must have the following skills / experience:

3+ years’ Service Design/User research experience.
Experience of working within GDS framework.
An understanding of service design.
Professional Services experience.
Recent AGILE experience.
Strong presence with excellent people, communication and presentation skills.
