Unfortunately, this role won’t be for everyone. You won’t be able to just coast along, waiting for somebody else to take the initiative.
You’ll be joining a team who first and foremost are passionate about development. You’ll be given the creative freedom to innovate and the encouragement from above to find new solutions.
Tech wise, you’ll be able to fill your boots, as their tech stack is always cutting edge and evolving. Their products are written in C# and .NET Core, whilst everything is hosted on AWS. To give you more of a feel, other tools they’re using are React, xUnit, NuGet, TeamCity, Docker etc.
You wouldn’t be limited to these though, if you have a way of solving a problem using something different, then you’d be encouraged to put together a business case to implement it that way.
You’ll be able to showcase a good understanding of SOLID principles and patterns, with a background working on large-scale products and a confidence to turn your hand to a variety of development tasks.
Their standards are quite high, there’s no getting away from that, but that means they do reward you in return. Salary wise, they’ll pay up to £70,000, plus offer a great package which includes BUPA, 8% pension and plenty of others.
Their office is in Knutsford and would be looking for people who’d be happy to work on site.
You’ll be comfortable programming in pairs, like stepping out of your comfort zone and have the ability and willingness to learn from others. They regularly host internal training sessions, lunch and learn if you will, plus you’d be given a healthy training budget to play with.
Like I said, this role won’t be for everyone, but if you fancy a chat, get in touch with Jack Leeming @ Optima Dev for a chat
