We are delighted to be working with a market leading business based in Ipswich town centre who are looking to hire a Senior IT Engineer to join their team. Working within an internal IT team and working alongside 3rd Party IT Service providers you will play a crucial role in providing 3rd line technical assistance, troubleshooting, and resolving IT issues for colleagues across multiple sites. 
Going through a period of growth this role will lead a number of exciting new infrastructure and Security projects, 50% Security, 50% Infrastructure….
 
What is the job?

Provide third line technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in person. Resolve hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
Provide an escalation point for technically demanding support issues, assist in their resolution if required and support the overall objectives of the IT function as a whole.
Be responsible for a number new infrastructure and security projects and upgrades across a complex business. 
Assist in the setup, configuration, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Management of third-party IT suppliers.
Working on challenging cloud infrastructure, security solutions and change.
Supporting sys admins for ERP/CRM  
What do you need?

Proven track record across a range of IT and infrastructure with a hands-on approach 
Experience with cloud infrastructure – Azure, AWS, GCP etc
Understanding of security frameworks and concepts (Cyber Essentials, NIST, MFA, Contextual Access)
Technical Project Management experience – particularly in a change management environment, would be a plus. 
Familiarity with network concepts, protocols, and configurations – including experience in multi-site networking.
