Senior Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++).

Working in a recently refurbished office on the Sussex south coast, this role will offer flexible remote working, aligned with role demands. You'll need to be in commutable distance because as there are some tasks that can only be performed in the office.

As a Senior C /C++ Embedded Engineer, you'll contribute to innovative designs in IO processing that result in products which have a competitive edge. You'll lead and deliver software for high precision analogue module which works with the new range of products and work on other projects that may require support on low-level IO drivers.

Title: Senior Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++).
Location: Sussex South Coast and flexible home working. Commutable from Brighton, Southampton, London.
Salary: up to £60,000 pa plus benefits including pension, bonus, generous holiday allowance.
Start date: ASAP.
Duration: Permanent role.

Duties. Work alongside the architect and make recommendations regarding design of the software to formalise technical specifications. Provide input into architecture design and take responsibility and accountability for subsystem design. Deliver clearly documented and accurate designs and identify opportunities in product development that will provide benefits to the customer. Support the validation department in the validation phase of the development. Identify ways of improving the company working practices and implement the changes.

About you: You'll have a customer-focused professional attitude with good interpersonal skills, so you'll be a collaborative team player, happy working as part of a project team, comfortable engaging proactively with multi-disciplinary teams & stakeholders. When needed you'll be a robust, resilient & tenacious individual who remains objective & delivers focused when dealing with change, uncertainty & ambiguity.

You'll need Proven Experience of Embedded C, C++ Software development experience using either Segger embOS, FreeRTOS, VxWorks or any similar RTOS, and have experience of designing, implementing, and testing C/C++ embedded software for high precision, high frequency and time critical systems. It would be very helpful if these systems are used in analogue and digital IO modules/data acquisition for Industrial Automation applications.

With a degree in Electronics or Computer Science (or equivalent) you'll have knowledge of OOAD, experience with Continuous Integration systems such as Jenkins and Use of a version control system, e.g. GitHub.
