As our Salesforce Developer, you’ll become part of a highly-skilled, dedicated, Salesforce development team involved in supporting and enabling multiple business lines, across all products at Vitality. You will ensure that a successful Salesforce user experience is delivered to all users, and will utilise in-depth knowledge of Salesforce platforms to ensure all developments meet best practice. Requirement translation into key deliverables will form part of the day to day role. Multiple project deliverables will be worked on at any time leading towards pre-agreed release schedules.

Your responsibilities as our Salesforce Developer will include:

Developing and delivering front end changes, agreed and prioritised by the business areas

Working with Business Analysts, Project Leads, Salesforce colleagues and Salesforce Solution Engineers to define and understand requirements, challenging where necessary, in terms of Salesforce capabilities

Working alongside administrators and existing development team where required

Testing new and existing implementations to the agreed software development lifecycle standards

Evaluating the success of projects/processes on an ongoing basis and make recommendations based on a sound understanding of business priorities

Collaborating with IT and other Distribution teams across the business to deliver high-quality software solutions

Working with multiple aspects of the Salesforce Lightning Platform (Service Cloud, Sales Cloud) across various business units and stakeholders; including but not limited to Apex Classes, Aura/Lightning Web Components, Visualforce, Controllers & Triggers, Data Loader, org customisation, and SOQL & SOSL

Building excellent product knowledge and always remain up to date on business, industry, technical and customer strategies

Ensuring you understand and adhere to our Code of Conduct and where appropriate, comply with all relevant regulatory policies and mandatory training requirements

What we’re looking for in our Salesforce Developer:

Degree level education in a computing/programming related subject, or relevant experience in an Information Technology role

Salesforce Developer 1 certification or working towards this certification

General knowledge of programming languages and confidence with learning new programming languages

A high degree of self-motivation and the ability to work flexibly within tight deadlines with demanding stakeholders

High level of attention to detail when creating and testing code for implementation

A clear and concise written style and good presentation skills. Ability to communicate complicated technical concepts clearly, both verbally and in written form
