Have you built test automation frameworks from scratch?
Want to work somewhere where you can have serious input, and the chance to mark your mark?
Well, with this company you will have the opportunity to do just that.
They’re doing well, having more than doubled in size in recent years, but there’s plenty more to do.
Joining them as their QA Test Engineer, you’ll effectively be able to establish a modern test function.
This is a remote position, but if you want to spend any time in the Cheshire HQ you are of course more than welcome.
What will I do?
You’ll work within their cross functional development team, to determine testing parameters, establish test automation frameworks, implement the practices and tooling required for TDD and BDD, deliver test automation through CI / CD pipelines, and more.
They operate in an agile scrum environment, focus heavily on CI / CD, and already employ modern techniques and principles like OOP, SOLID and TDD.
But now they want someone like you to help them continue, and shape, that journey from a QA and test perspective.
What will I need?
Here’s what you’ll bring to them:
3+ years of experience in an Automation Test Engineer or SDET role (or equivalent)
Experience in working as part of a team delivering test automation through a CI/CD pipeline
Excellent experience in development practices such as Unit Testing, TDD, Mobbing, BDD
What will they offer me?
We’ll come to benefits in a moment, but first I should mention that they have an excellent track record of championing and guiding the professional development of their team.
The current MD started as a Junior Developer. The Development Team Lead had a similar journey.
They will agree training objectives with you, and then fund the required courses, subscriptions, and exams. Oh, and you’ll get paid time off during the working week to devote to study.
Now to the benefits:
Annual salary reviews
Generous annual leave with an additional day for each year with the company
Training and certification provision
Death in service insurance
Generous long service cash rewards from 5 years of service
Staff discount on products
Staff recognition scheme
GP access and mental health counselling support
Yearly flu vaccinations
Free parking at the office (if you choose to work from there)
Cycle to work scheme
Fun and exciting social and team building events
Here’s what you need to do

If you have a CV, that would be great, but if you don’t just send whatever you can
