Our growing customer is looking for an experienced Project Manager or to deliver bespoke software projects to customers. The successful candidate does not have to come from an IT industry background but will be used to dealing with multiple projects that last up to 6 months at a time, plus you will talk to customers daily and be customer focused. You will be joining a team of 6 responsible for managing ERP Projects from the start to the end of their lifecycle, right through from the Kick off Meeting to the Project Closure activities. You will work with the Consultancy, Development & Platforms Teams within the business to plan and schedule resources, ensuring that tasks are carried out when planned and progress is reported back to the Customer. Ability to communicate, build Customer relationships and forward plan are essential.

Key responsibilities of an Project Manager:

* To help deliver software projects, running multiple at any one time. These are typically anywhere between 15-250+ days across Upgrades, Implementations & System Improvement type projects.

* Create and maintain the project plan, ensuring tasks are delivered to schedule.

* Manage budget approvals on a weekly basis and provide regular updates to the Customer.

* Identify and manage any changes to scope during the lifecycle of the project.

* Be responsible for reporting on risks and issues to different Stakeholders at Board level.

* Developing relationships and managing the engagement with all clients and internal departments.

* Be confident in raising issues or risks to the Customer where appropriate.

Experience

* Prior experience of managing Software / ERP Projects from start to end as a Project Manager.

* Prince 2 qualified or similar qualification, but not essential if proven track record is available.

Skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, influencing and organisational skills.

* Cope well under pressure.

* Ability to multitask on multiple projects at once.

* Fluent in written and spoken English.

* MS Office / Project / Teams.

* Full driving license is beneficial although not essential, will involve very occasional site visits but 95% is office/Home based.

Previous experience as a Project Manager, IT Project Manager or Assistant PM.
