The Technical Services Team cover Academic Technical Support areas, Cyber Security and Information Governance, University IT and also the University Project Management Office. Predominantly, the team provide a comprehensive and continuous approach to improving the way the University provides, manages and uses its Technology. There are several diverse teams, mostly responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the University’s IT provision runs smoothly as well as ensuring Students and Academics have appropriate technical support.
The main purpose of the role will be to work within the University of Sunderland’s Media team, providing technical support for all aspects of Media Equipment Store operations. In brief, the successful candidate will issue a broad range of specialist media production equipment for student classes, student projects and assessed work using SISO software; check all equipment prior to issue and upon return and will ensure the safe use and operation of equipment.
The successful candidate will also assist with portable appliance testing of electrical equipment, Media Equipment Store inventory, maintaining adequate stock levels and will ensure compliance with Health and Safety legislation, regulations and University policies.
