As our Materials/Stock Controller you will be responsible for ensuring the effective processing of accurate stock transactions, goods distribution and the safeguarding of company assets. You will adhere to business policies, procedures and guidelines alongside managing internal and external relationships.

This role is a full time fixed term contract working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday for up to 9 months.

What you will be doing?

Ensure effective control of stock into, around and out of the business in-line with procedures and demand

Receipt and shipment of all equipment, including packing and preparation in line with Service Level Agreements

Receipt of PO’s from suppliers

Ensuring constant accuracy of stock and records including stock takes

Carrying out housekeeping activities

Liaison with both internal and external customers at all levels

Forklift duties on counter balance forklift (put away/pick, loading and uploading)

Adherence to health and safety regulations, attending additional courses as and when required

What we’re looking for?

Valid fork lift truck license

Experience in a similar transaction stock role with an understanding of logistics, supply chain and order life-cycles

Good communication skills, with ability to adjust style to relevant audiences

Ability to meet commitments and deadlines whilst being flexible & open to the needs of the business

Calm in the face of adversity, able to work under pressure – swiftly without compromise to quality

Excellent time keeping an organizational skills, able to prioritise own workload

Highly self-motivated and target driven – ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team

Excellent attention to detail

Capable of manual handling in a safe and efficient manner

Experience in the use of an ERP/ WMS system

Proficient in the use of MS Office, particularly Word and Excel Share our company values
