Job Title: Marketing Lead
Location: Predominantly remote, with ability to periodically join us in person in either London or Birmingham
About Them:
We are supporting an established scale-up SaaS technology company soon to launch a brand-new innovative product targeted at scale-up and established tech businesses. We're looking for a dynamic Marketing professional to help them bring this new product to market and enable ongoing marketing to drive product growth
Job Summary:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Marketing professional to work directly with the founders of the business to develop and successfully execute a "go to market" strategy for a brand new software product that solves major technical challenges for small and medium enterprises running their own microservice applications in the cloud.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the technology industry, particularly microservices and cloud computing with previous experience taking a new SaaS product to market and driving product growth. You will be responsible for translating complex technical concepts into compelling marketing messages and developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans that drive a successful go to market and market adoption.
We're looking for someone who is extremely proactive and very well organised.
You will be excited about the prospect of contributing to building something amazing and you won't be afraid to roll your sleeves up as they get started.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy Development:
– Develop, implement, and manage the overall marketing strategy, including digital, content, and inbound marketing.
– Develop and execute project plans for "go to market" and subsequent marketing activities.
– Conduct market research to identify opportunities, trends, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
– Collaborate with product, sales, and customer success teams to align marketing efforts with product launches and business objectives.
– Play a critical role in helping develop and refine a unique brand identity for this new part of our business
2. Content Creation and Management:
– Create and oversee the production of high-quality marketing content, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, webinars, and product videos.
– Simplify complex technical information into clear, compelling messaging for various target audiences.
– Optimize website content and landing pages for conversion rate optimization (CRO).
– Develop content that resonates with the target audience, supports lead generation,
and nurtures prospects through the sales funnel.
– Work closely with the product team and design teams to produce visually compelling content that aligns with the brand identity.
– Manage the content calendar to ensure consistent delivery of content across all channels.
3. Campaign Management:
– Plan, execute, and optimize multi-channel, digital marketing campaigns.
– Monitor and analyze campaign performance to drive continuous improvement.
4. Lead Generation & Nurturing:
– Develop and implement strategies for lead generation, nurturing, and conversion using marketing automation tools.
– Create targeted marketing campaigns for different segments of the customer base to drive engagement and sales.
5. Brand Management:
– Help shape the brand strategy
– Maintain and enhance the company's brand and product identity and messaging across all marketing channels.
– Ensure brand consistency in all marketing materials and communications.
– Develop strategies to increase brand / product awareness and market positioning.
6. Analytics & Reporting:
– Track, measure, and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts using analytics tools.
– Provide regular reports to track key metrics, ROI, and areas for improvement.
7. Team Leadership:
– Coordinate with external agencies and freelancers as needed.
– You will be the first hire into this team, and we expect the team will grow, so over time you will be expected to lead, mentor, and manage a small team of marketing professionals, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
8. Budget Management:
– Manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize ROI.
– Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality.
Qualifications:
– You will most likely have a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
– 5+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 2 years in a SaaS or technology environment.
– Proven experience in developing and executing successful product launches and growth strategies for software/technology companies.
– Strong content creation skills, with a portfolio of previous work.
– Experience working on developing branding and content for new product launches
– Project management experience
– Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, SEMrush).
– Excellent communication, writing, and storytelling skills.
– Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
– Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Skills:
– Strong understanding of technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and services.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
– Proficiency in digital marketing, content creation, and marketing automation.
– Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
– Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Work Environment:
– They're a global team that chooses to predominantly work remotely but with the option to work from an office part-time if you wish.
– This position may require occasional travel for industry events and client meetings
