About the Role:

As a Lead Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) specialising in Java, you'll guide a dedicated team focused on delivering highly scalable and robust services within the company's platform. Your role will emphasise efficient testing strategies, particularly shift-left testing principles.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Guidance: Oversee performance assessments and hiring for a team of SDETs.
Strategic Planning: Guide the team's testing and automation strategies.
Test Planning: Define and organise test planning for releases.
Development: Design and code automation frameworks, tests, and tools.
Collaboration: Participate in team planning and story grooming.

What We're Looking For:

Experience: At least 8 years in test development, including 2 years guiding a small team.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of Java and object-oriented principles.
Agile Expertise: Proficient in applying test practices in an agile environment.
Unit Testing: Experience with frameworks like JUnit, TestNG.
Backend Testing: Familiarity with testing backend systems or APIs.
Performance Testing: Knowledge of tools like JMeter, Gatling.
