Protocol is delighted to be recruiting for a IT Support Technician on a temporary ongoing basis within the Isleworth area.
The purpose of the post is: to provide 1st Line Support as part of a comprehensive IT Service for all Staff and Students within the organisation.
Salary: Circa £10.50
Provide a polite and professional customer focused IT service to staff and students
Log, actively respond to and where possible resolve, incoming technical telephone calls, emails, voicemails etc. via the helpdesk system.
Assist in the delivery of a central helpdesk facility and via a rota system, ensure that there is adequate cover at all times.
Keep users informed on the progress of requests and escalate problems or high priority calls to the IT Support Manager or IT Systems Engineers as appropriate.
Install, configure and maintain IT related hardware / software at a basic level (1st Line) to ensure operational effectiveness to the highest possible standard and in accordance with IT policies.
Support the telephone systems including installation and basic troubleshooting of handset or cabling faults.
Liaise and work with 3rd party vendors to resolve hardware or software issues.
Possess a min of 4 GCSE's, 'A' Levels or Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline, or a relevant industry standard IT qualification.
Experience of working in a PC / Helpdesk support role with a sound knowledge of common PC applications, and the ability to assist and explain technical processes in a non-technical way.
