This is an exciting opportunity to join the IT team in a high-profile role, reporting to the Head of IT. The successful candidate will have strong IT service delivery experience and ITIL knowledge that will enable them to ensure the successful delivery of the IT service and lead on quality improvements. The role will provide oversight of all staff and suppliers that contribute directly to the provision of support and will be responsible for incident and problem management, change management, request fulfilment, asset management, purchasing, monitoring and reporting.
IT Service Delivery Manager Responsibilities:
You will use subject matter knowledge of all areas of IT service delivery to inform processes and activities across the full breadth of Infrastructure and applications. This includes ensuring the effective introduction of new technologies and solutions as a number of technology modernisation projects move into production.
You will be responsible for the performance of key suppliers including the primary managed service provider, building and maintaining effective relationships.
IT Service Delivery Manager Requirements:
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, proactive, and well-organised service delivery specialist who can hit the ground running. You will understand the necessary components of a high-quality IT service and have extensive experience leading a successful service management function. You must have the ability to manage a broad set of activities, with excellent attention to detail and work autonomously to move the service forward.
You will use your subject matter expertise to develop and manage service improvement initiatives, championing and embedding an ITIL-based approach in a fast-paced and busy environment.
An excellent written and verbal communicator, you will possess the ability to motivate team members and build individual and collective skills to create a highly functioning IT operations team. You will build engagement across all areas of the business to champion technology, understand needs and ensure effective and timely communications.
You will bring experience working effectively in partnership with suppliers, including in a hybrid onshore/offshore managed services and SIAM model.
