GBR Recruitment are working in partnership with a leading client, recruiting for an experienced IT Help Desk Support Officer (1st line Support & Data Entry tasks) to support the business handling initial 1st line IT Support enquiries, along with Data Entry & Administration (half of the day carrying out 1st line support duties, the other half of the day on internal systems administration i.e. HR, CRM, Web Rostering etc..), supporting IT Users in utilising the companies cloud based applications software / systems.

Previous experience within an 1st Line IT Help Desk/Service Desk role is required, from within a large fast paced organisation. You will possess excellent customer service skills, plus a passion for all things IT, Tech, IT support & Administration.

The role will be part office & part home based, with the opportunity of home working 2 days a week (hybrid role).

Successful candidates will be required to have an Enhanced DBS check prior to commencing employment, plus hold a full car license and have a car they can use daily, due to the location of the position not being central.

Main Responsibilities:

* Report to the IT Support Officer Team Leader.

* Provide an excellent first point of contact within IT for all enquiries.

* Record prioritise, assign, and manage all requests / incidents reported to the Help Desk.

* Manage customer expectations via telephone, email, and face to face.

* Recording, tracking & escalating issues to the necessary project teams.

* Manage users permissions & carry out audits

* Setup, provide and maintain IT equipment for staff members.

* Involvement in small to large projects.

Key Skills Required are:

* Previous experience in a 1st line Helpdesk / Service Desk support role.

* You will have excellent customer service skills and communication skills.

* Strong Administration & Data Entry skills as 50% administration role

* Active Directory and Office 365/Azure user and group administration.

* Microsoft Intune implementation and Admin.

* Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

* Excellent Teams and SharePoint administration.

* Mobile Device Management with Android and Apple.

* Windows 10/11.

* Remote desktop.

* Print management.

* Basic hardware diagnostics/triage.

* IT asset management.

* Good knowledge and implementation of the ITIL/ITISM.

Beneficial skills:

* Experience with a recognised ITSM platform.

* ITIL foundation certification would be particularly beneficial

* Admin in Zoho People, Zoho CRM, Microsoft Dynamics or similar.

* Cyber security certification and implementation.

* Google Workspace experience for ChromeOS device administration.

* Experience with Microsoft ‘MDT’ tool (create & post images)

* Admin in Mobile Iron/Ivanti Neurons.

* Admin in PaperCut Hive
