Our client is a leading and well known Irish business with a strong reputation. Due to strong and consistent growth, they are looking to grow their infrastructure team by bringing on board a talented individual who wants broad exposure to multiple technologies. The role will involve a broad range from Desktop support, Server Support and Site Setups. The essential role is supporting the sites main offices and smaller sites across the country. The role will require a broad knowledge across Desktop support, Server Support, Networking, and the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Some key technologies that role will be exposed to include Cisco, Windows Servers, Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, Azure, Office 365, Exchange, Intune, Teams, OneDrive, CISCO, Citrix Farm, VMware, Mimecast, NAS & SAN storage solutions.
Manage the IT for site deployments managing and interacting with colleagues and external vendors to implement the IT functions for a site. Providing internet, workstations, Wifi and Meeting Room setups.
Providing support to our employees for all IT-related concerns, which include supporting and troubleshooting across several locations.
Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently and prioritize appropriately
Assume full ownership and responsibility of all allocated support tickets ensuring they are dealt with promptly and professionally and satisfactorily concluded
Work within a team environment
Work with external vendors and partners that support and implement key elements of our service to the company.
Other ad hoc duties as required
Knowledge of fundamentals such as Networking, Routers, Switches, Microsoft Active Directory, GPO, Microsoft 365 Exchange, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Windows 10.
Ability to work effectively and handle multiple concurrent work tasks on a daily basis in a fast-paced environment.
Manage the deployment, maintenance and support of users, operating systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
Experience in a helpdesk or other service-oriented IT role is considered an advantage.
Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
Proven team player dedicated to providing top level, positive customer service delivery at all times.
An analytical, creative, and innovative approach to solving problems is appreciated
Beneficial if the candidate has experience with any of the following: CISCO Meraki Routers, Intune, Teams, Mimecast, Citrix Farms, Enterprise Antivirus Solution or Enterprise Backup Solutions.
Qualifications / Experience
Preferred 3-5 years’ experience
B.S. degree in appropriate technical field, or commensurate professional experience is desirable.
Current professional certifications are beneficial such as CCNA, VMware, Citrix and MCITP, MCSA and MCSE.
