CONTRACT ROLE: IT Audit & Assurance Consultant

Location: Remote / Hybrid (1 day per week in Cheltenham)

Duration: 6+ months

Start: ASAP

Day Rate: Up to £750 per day

IR35: Inside

We're supporting a global engineering group through a major Corporate Governance Reform programme. They’re looking for a IT Audit & Assurance Consultant to drive IT General Controls testing, compliance, and assurance across their international operations.

Your Mission:

Lead IT General Controls (ITGC) testing, assurance and remediation

Deliver actionable audit findings in line with governance reform goals

Partner across the business to improve maturity of controls (people, process, tech)

Be a champion for IT audit best practice within a fast-paced global team

Support BIA activities and monthly performance reporting

What You’ll Bring:

Experience in IT Controls, Audit or GRC roles

Experience in Corporate Governance Reform within a complex global business

Certification (CISA, CISM, CRISC) – nice to have

Experience with ISO27001, NIST CSF, SOX, ITIL or COBIT

Knowledge of cloud security and third-party risk

Hands-on experience with GRC tools

Proactive, detail-focused, collaborative mindset
