The Role

Tangent 90 are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Graduate Software Developer to join the Slough office. The purpose of the role is to provide front-end Development and have desire to learn back-end system too in order to deliver end-to-end. This is an exciting opportunity to join a first-rate company, where you will be given the autonomy to explore creative solutions to technical development problems.

The key responsibilities of a Graduate Software Developer include, but are not limited to:

Testing and debugging various development code, improving it on a daily basis
Managing internal requirements e.g answering questions on BC from GA/Dev’s.
Making basic content edits to Sitecore
Any other requirements as reasonably requested of you
The Graduate Software Developer will have:

At least 1 – 3 years' experience in a developer role (but all considered with the relevant knowledge)
Technical competence in Objective-C/Swift/c# – HTML/CSS experience an advantage; experience creating responsive sites and/or CMS experience beneficial; and a background in Java, SQL/Databases, Spring/Hibernate invaluable
Commercial industry experience with a good understanding of OOAD
Scrum experience; Agile knowledge an advantage

The key skills and qualities of a Graduate Software Developer:

Ability to identify potential challenges and raise in timely manner to meet deadlines/deliveries
Strong development and organisational skills; and an exemplary attitude to time management, meeting tight deadlines whilst still maintaining attention to detail
Excellent communication skills, confident liaising with colleagues (and clients as and when required) using traditional methods of both phone calls and email or attending meetings
Friendly, enthusiastic, flexible and pro-active work ethic, able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
Talent for exploring new products and creating procedures; and desire to learn and innovate
