In this position, you will contribute to the game development process from concept through to delivery by transforming concept design documents into visual aids and tools to be used throughout the development lifecycle of a game. You will consider a range of factors including the UX and UI of the game as well as player motivations and focus, player feedback, points of interaction, navigation flow and pacing.
You will work collaboratively with our team of Producers, Artists, Developers and dedicated QA to work from the initial design idea through to a refined game that focuses on the user’s experience and creates a seamless customer journey that is clear and fun. You will do this by taking designs and animating them in order to discover any pain points and work closely with the teams to alleviate them. This will be achieved through using the Adobe CC (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD etc) and other relevant tools as well as strong verbal and written communication.
Key skills we’re looking for…
Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Cloud including After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator and XD
Knowledge of game UI/UX and an excellent understanding of what makes them work
2D Animation skills
A passion for games!
Bonus points for…
Animation software such as Esoteric’s Spine or Adobe Animate
Knowledge of coding/development such as Typescript, Unity, HTML5
