We’re now looking for a Field Application Specialist to join us and provide support to customers throughout Swindon and the surrounding area who use our diagnostic products.

The Role

As a Field Application Specialist, you will provide technical support to customers throughout Swindon and the surrounding area.

Acting as a primary point of contact for customers, you will manage and resolve technical queries, build a good understanding of customers’ requirements and recommend products to best meet their needs.

Operating as part of the tech support team, you will facilitate technical solutions for customers, carry out demonstrations to drive sales and provide support as their solutions evolve.

You’ll be working primarily with key accounts and NHS customers and will organise and carry out product training and demonstrations at customer sites and communicate customers’ comments, complaints and concerns to management.

About You

To join us as a Field Application Specialist, you’ll need:

– At least two years’ relevant laboratory experience
– Experience in a customer-facing role, including email, telephone and face-to-face interactions
– A high level of molecular biology (PCR/qPCR) technical competence
– A BSc Hons (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific subject
– A full driving licence

A PhD in a relevant discipline would be highly desirable, as would knowledge of the Primerdesign product range.

Please note, we are also offering this role working across the Swindon area.

You may have previously worked as a Laboratory Analyst, Scientist, Lab Analyst, Research Associate, or R&D Scientist.
