Salary: £225 – £300 per day
Reporting to: Business Process Manager

Data Quality Analyst Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Data Quality Analyst to support an ongoing project on a contract basis to sort, refine and cleanse existing company data and improve efficiencies around data management and analysis within the organisation.

You will support in the discovery of efficient methods to organise, store, cleanse and analyse data with high attention to data security and confidentiality.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of database architecture and data analysis procedures as well as excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.

We would require candidates to work in a hybrid way both remotely and in the office.

Data Quality Analyst Responsibilities:

* Working with different areas of the business to identify where data is held

* Utilising data profiling techniques to examine, analyse and assess the quality of company data from various sources

* Manipulating and cleansing large data sets to ensure that data meets company standards and objectives

* Work with key stakeholders to identify, evaluate and implement tools to support data validation and cleansing

* Work with the Business Process Manager to create and enforce polices for effective data management

* Where there are teams or processes that are creating data errors, work with the business process manager to correct errors and improve processes

* Support in the development of a business wide data map that explains where data is created, where it flows and who is accountable for it.

* Implement efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis

* Involvement in the development and championing of data standards

Data Quality Analyst Qualifications and Experience:

* Proven experience as a Data Quality Analyst

* Experience of data mining / data analysis methods using a variety of tools

* Proficient in SQL (T-SQL experience would be advantageous)

* Strong understanding of data governance practices and procedures

* Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (Analysis, collection, distribution etc.)

* Ability to clean and validate data to ensure uniformity and accuracy

* Hands-on practical and technical experience of Data Analysis, Data Profiling, Data Management and Data Quality Management

* Analytical mind set with strong problem-solving skills

* Advanced MS Office skill set (Excel, Access, Word)

* Excellent communication and collaboration skills

* BSc in Data science/ Mathematics/ Computer Science or equivalent
