As a Data Engineer you'll be developing and deploying innovative, insightful and effective data products, utilising cloud technologies to ensure optimal accessibility and efficiency for the end user. You'll be creating robust data pipelines and automations, ensuring the quality, integrity and security of data and optimising data-driven services for millions of DWP users.
What skills, knowledge and experience will you need?
Experience in building and deploying efficient, scalable, automated ETL/ELT pipelines using tooling such as: Informatica, SSIS, Cloud Native (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory).
Experience of Programming Languages eg SQL, Python, Shell scripting (BASH).
Experience of working with databases, RDBMS or NoSQL.
Experience of data modelling to support analytical functions within the business.
Awareness to cloud technologies and principles (AWS/Azure) of designing and developing data solutions on public cloud – AWS/Azure.
Experience of distributed version control tools, and awareness of modern code deployment methods (CI/CD).
